Ingredients:
- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C
Follow the directions on the package to cook the ziti pasta until it is al dente
Remove the water and set it aside
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat
For about one minute, until the garlic smells good, add the minced garlic
Put chopped spinach in the pan and cook for two to three minutes, until it softens
Put cooked pasta, marinara sauce, spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese in a large bowl
Add pepper and salt to taste
Mix everything together well
Put the pasta mixture in a baking dish that has been greased
Add the rest of the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese on top
Place the baking dish in a hot oven and cover it with aluminum foil
Bake for 20 minutes
Take off the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and starts to bubble
Before you serve it, let it cool down for a while
If you want, you can add fresh basil leaves as a garnish
