Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp bourbon whiskey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

In a separate microwave-safe bowl, heat the peanut butter for 20-30 seconds until softened

Add the softened peanut butter, eggs, milk, bourbon, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients

Mix until a dough forms

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it to about 1/2-inch thickness

Use a doughnut cutter or a round cookie cutter to cut out doughnuts

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large, deep skillet to 350F 175C

Carefully fry the doughnuts in batches, turning them once, until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side

Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain them on paper towels

While still warm, dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar and decorate with sprinkles

Serve the peanut butter bourbon-filled doughnuts immediately and enjoy
