Gingerbread Vegan Hot Chocolate

Indulge in the cozy flavors of gingerbread with this vegan twist on classic hot chocolate. Rich cocoa combined with warming spices creates a comforting drink perfect for chilly days. Its dairy-free, gluten-free, and entirely plant-based.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegan whipped cream, for topping optional
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish optional

Instructions:

In a saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer

Whisk in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves until well combined

Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is heated through

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract

Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with vegan whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired

Serve immediately and enjoy
